Shawn Carey speaks with New York Times feature writer and Clinton County native Steven Kurutz, author of his latest book, “American Flannel: How A Band Of Entrepreneurs Are Bringing The Art And Business Of Making Clothes Back Home,” published by Penguin Random House.

During our conversation, Steven was traveling back home to Pennsylvania for the holiday weekend.  On Saturday May 25, 2024, he’ll appear at Otto Bookstore, 107 West Fourth Street, Williamsport, for a meet and greet plus a discussion of the book, which highlights Woolrich, creators of the original buffalo plaid check flannel shirt in 1850.
