Loyalsock Township Recreation Department Christmas Parade

THE LOYALSOCK TOWNSHIP RECREATION DEPARTMENT AND THE LOYALSOCK VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY HAVE TEAMED UP AGAIN THIS YEAR TO ORGANIZE THE ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARADE ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7TH. THEY’D LIKE TO INVITE CIVIC GOUPS, YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS, SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS AND CLUBS, CHURCH GROUPS, LOCAL BUSINESSES, AND INTERESTED AREA CITIZENS TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS YEAR’S HOLIDAY PARADE. THIS YEAR’S THEME IS “OLDE TYME CHRISTMAS”. REGISTER UP TO THE DAY BEFORE THE PARADE. THE PARADE WILL FORM AT 12:30 AND DEPART AT 1:30 FROM THE LOYALSOCK TOWNSHIP MIDDLE SCHOOL. AFTER THE PARADE, MAKE SURE YOU VISIT JAMES SHORT PARK FOR THEIR HOLIDAY IN THE PARK EVENT FROM 5:30 UNTIL 7:00. ENJOY HOLIDAY LIGHTS AND DISPLAYS, FREE WAGON RIDES, LIVE PERFORMANCES, REFRESHMENTS AND A VISIT FROM SANTA AND FRIENDS. COME OUT AND CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAY SEASON IN LOYALSOCK ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7TH WITH THE ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARADE AT 1:30 AND THE HOLIDAY IN THE PARK EVENT AT JAMES SHORT PARK FROM 5: 3O TO 7:00.

In Touch with Freddi Hammer – African Children’s Choir

The African Children’s Choir is making a stop in Williamsport Friday October 18 at City Church on East 4th Street.  The group is made up of

7-10 year old singers and dancers from impoverished areas of Uganda and other African countries.

Freddi Hammer speaks with Tour manager and Chaperone Jim Luzzay, who shares the details on a typical day on tour with the Choir.  He shares  how much the organization “Music for Life” promotes education in his home country, and helps the children become the positive change to help their communities in Africa.

In Touch with Freddi Hammer – American Red Cross/Hurricane Helene

The American Red Cross is mobilizing volunteers to be trained and deployed as Disaster Action Team Members to help clean up damage and flooding in the southern states that have been ravaged by Hurricane Helene.
Sherry Nealon-Shrive,  the executive director of the American Red Cross, North East Pennsylvania Chapter, talks with Freddi Hammer about the American Red Cross’ volunteer effort in Pennsylvania to train volunteers, encourage blood donation and financial support.
