MORELAND BAPTIST CHURCH PRESENTS THEIR ANNUAL FALL FESTIVAL – A COMMUNITY OUTREACH EVENT! KNOWN LOCALLY AS “DRIVE YOUR TRACTOR TO CHURCH SUNDAY”. PLEASE JOIN THEM AT 10:30 AM ON SEPTEMBER 29TH FOR SERVICE OUTSIDE UNDER THE PAVILION. MUSIC BY CHRIS PICK. LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED ALONG WITH FESTIVITIES: AN INFLATABLE OBSTACLE COURSE, HORSE DRAWN CARRIAGE RIDES, A TRACTOR PARADE, BARREL TRAIN, HAY RIDES, POPCORN, FACE PAINTING, AND MORE! In the first Backyard Business Spotlight of 2024, we discuss the recent announcement of Southern Airways Express beginning passenger air service at the Williamsport Regional Airport, construction of a popular brewing company from Lewisburg that will open a second location in Williamsport later this year, as well as the debut of a new distillery, Fair Play Distillers, on Lycoming Creek Road.
In Touch with Freddi Hammer – “Remote Outpost” by Travis Harman
“Remote Outpost” is an upcoming book written by local author and veteran, Travis Harman, about his experiences as a soldier in Afghanistan. To fulfill his master’s degree requirements at Wilkes College, he will teach a creative writing group for Veterans and their spouses that is set to start February 5th at the Williamsport Vet Center.
